Looking back, I can't believe how busy the year has been, with work shown at art fairs AAF Singapore and AAF Hong Kong; 20/21 Art Fair; Olympia Art & Antiques Fair; Art Fair East; Ely Cathedral Christmas Fair; Blackthorpe Barn; London Illustration Fair; exhibiting with galleries Rebecca Hossack London and corporate partners Gray’s Inn London, Gail's Bakery Chiswick; Cornwall Contemporary Penzance; Quercus Gallery Bath; Shipyard Studios Wivenhoe; Primavera Cambridge; Bridgeman Art Library and the new Bridgeman Gallery. I opened my studio with Cambridge Open Studios (COS), and exhibited with fellow COS artists at the Babylon Gallery Ely and at Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge. Two paintings were invited to exhibit in the ING Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries, and a further two paintings reached the final 500 from over 3000 submissions for the National Open Art competition (NOA). At the Curwen Print Studio I've been working in a new etching technique - solar plate - and with layered soft ground etchings and gold leaf. In my studio I've been working on new paintings in a square format, layering materials. As the year draws to an end I feel so grateful for all of the opportunities and support I've received from fellow artists, people working with the arts and others supporting the arts, and my family and friends. I look forward to developing all of these relationships with new work and new opportunities next year. In the meantime I send sincere wishes for a Merry Christmas and the happiest of new years.
